Baking with kids can be heaps of fun! It can also be incredibly messy too. A chance to make wonderful memories together, we’ve got plenty of recipe ideas for you to try, along with some tips to keep your time in the kitchen flowing smoothly.

It’s also important to be clear on the importance of safety in the kitchen. Knowing the things which can and can’t be touched, fall prevention, turning handles away from the edge and using cupboard locks where appropriate, are good places to start.

Ask a child what they want to bake, and the answer will probably be biscuits! But there are so many healthy alternatives you may want to suggest they try instead, including:
A quick search of Google will give you plenty of websites which list healthy baking recipes which kids will enjoy making (and hopefully eating!). My Kids Lick the Bowl, Cookie + Kate, Super Healthy Kids and Epicurious are just some we’ve found.
Remember, baking with kids can take place in both in real and pretend kitchens: both provide amazing experiences and wonderful memories to remember.
